Last Friday Anson, Ron, Billie, Eddie and I had our inaugural First Friday dinner. We decided we need a way to keep in touch with each other more regularly, so we thought if we all synced our calenders we could make it happen. So far, so good!I volunteered to do dessert and, acting on the previous week's strawberry excitement, I decided on this indulgent Strawberry Tiramisu. It came on a little recipe card inside a Bon Appetit magazine, and I stuck it in my recipe book, figuring I'd make it in the spring. Good thinking because this dessert was a great confluence of three elements that are pretty delicious on their own: strawberries, booze and mascarpone. What's that called when the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts?
It was pretty easy: make whipped cream spiked with orange liqueur, fold it into mascarpone that's been blended with some orange liqueur and orange juice, layer it up with ladyfingers and sliced strawberries. Done. Wait one day (the hard part) and your labors will be rewarded with a dessert that truly makes the most of the venerable strawberry.
I found the recipe on Epicurious if you want to make it too: Strawberry Tiramisu.

Very cool. Okay, all this healthy stuff makes me ask why you don't have any of your famous cocktail recipes?? Ying/Yang. Here's one for you:
